VISION

Food Allergies Rochester, MN is a welcoming community that seeks to support, encourage, educate and advocate for individuals living with food allergies in the greater Rochester, MN area. Living with food allergies presents many challenges: medically, socially, psychologically and financially. Our goal is both to provide support and to facilitate connections within the food allergy community.

We are designed to work in tandem with a medical professional’s diagnosis and care plan, and to bolster confidence in the areas of safe food recommendations, medically-approved anaphylaxis treatment, community outreach and emotional support.

ACTION

Our group holds monthly support meetings on the second Thursday of the month, at 7:30 pm in the Luther Room A of Autumn Ridge Church. Our support groups offer a time of connection and emotional support and allow participants the educational resources to live and thrive with food allergies. We often feature guest speakers from the professional fields of medicine, education and family support. Additionally, we host several outreach events throughout the year designed to educate the greater community about living with food allergies.

We have an open Facebook group dedicated to raising awareness of food allergies, answering common questions and providing support for the food allergy community. Members also receive a monthly newsletter with updates on allergies in the news, breaking research and helpful articles on managing food allergies.

We are also a recognized official support group of the FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) network.
